Actress. She was a versatile actress who appeared in television, film, and on the theatrical stage during a career that span five decades. She initially wanted to go into painting, but when told she would have to wait a year to attend the Rhode Island School of Design, she instead decided to go to acting school. After graduating from acting school, she started acting on the stage and would go on to appear in many theatrical productions around the world. She made her first appearance on television in 1973 in the CBS soap opera "Love of Life" as the character Betsy Crawford. She would stay with this role for four years. She would go on to appear in numerous television series such as "I Can Jump Puddles", "Thirtysomething", "L.A. Law", and "Law and Order". She also appeared in various films such as "He Knows You're Alone" (1980), "The Clairvoyant" (1982), "Sticky Fingers" (1988), "Eating" (1990), "Animal Room" (1995), and "Welcome to New York" (2014). She received a GLAAD award for her performance on "L.A. Law" in 1986. She later directed several theatrical productions and also was an acting coach at The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University.
