Joe 66, born in Mexicali, was raised and a lifelong area resident of Mojave. He was currently with Renzenberger as a Road Driver. Joe was in the Army and was Honorably discharged due to the death of his father in 1970, to help care for his mother and siblings. He will be remembered as a hard working man who supported his family, lovingly, emotionally and financially. As a grandpa (Papa) who loved and doted over his grand babies. And as a friend for life.
He is survived by his mother Cruz Garcia, Mojave, Ca.; daughter Kelly Ott husband Jeff, son Joshua Garcia wife Cecilia, two brother Fermin Garcia, Victor Garcia Jr; three sisters, Carmen Oceguera, Teresa Garcia, and Linda Baldwin husband Bruce; two nephews, Brian and Curtis Baldwin, 8 niece, Michelle Garcia, Veronica Garcia, Angelica Oceguera, Jessica Santana, Jeanette Oceguera, Isamar Garcia, Anais Baldwin, Erika Oceguera; grandkids Cody, Cali Jo, Penelope; great granddaughter Kathrine.
He is preceded in death by Victor Garcia Sr. and granddaughter Courtney Mark
Services will be held at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Mojave, a Rosary at 9:00a.m., Mass 10-11, July 7, Rev. Fr. Balaswami will officiate. Burial will be at the Mojave Cemetery 11:30-12:30 followed by a Celebrations of Life at the Saint Francis Hall.
