Carrie Lorene Yarbrough, 98, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 9, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Aug. 24, 1918, at Berryville, Ark., the daughter of John and Carrie Southerland Baker.

She was a 1938 graduate of Huntsville High School and taught school for 10 years. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and playing games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a volunteer at the Springdale Memorial Hospital Gift Shop, a Baptist and attended Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lee Yarbrough. Survivors include: five children, Carolyn (Vernon) Snow of Springdale, Ark., Ken Yarbrough of Rogers, Ark., Lloyd (Janet) Yarbrough of Pleasanton, Calif., Nadine Rockett of Bella Vista, Ark., and Shirley (Phillip) Huffmaster of Sherwood, Ark.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A. M. Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Alabam Cemetery with The Rev. Kelly Yarbrough officiating. Pallbearers will be: Joey Snow, Luke Snow, Wesley Johnston, Austin Johnston, Jared Vannoy and Bryan Yarbrough. Visitation will be from 10- 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark.
