Elva Dilks was born September 5, 1900, and passed away November 11, 1926, making her 26 years, two months, and 6 days old. She was united in marriage to Ben Cardwell June 25, 1919, and one child was born to this union, a girl, Naoma Faith Cardwell. Ben died February 17, 1920, and she was married to John A. Simpson of Picher, Oklahoma. December 19, 1925, a girl, Lena May Simpson, was born.
Elva leaves a mother, father, husband and two children besides other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
She was a loving daughter, wife and mother, and also a faithful member of the Rebekah lodge. She was loved by all who knew her and will be badly missed by all in her community.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Saturday by Reverend Frank Steward, after which the Rebekahs took charge of the body and laid the body to rest in the Dickens cemetery.
