Ella married Dibble H. Green on September 22, 1903, they had 8 children together. After Dibble's death in June of 1920, Ella remarried to Stephen Allen Taylor on November 12, 1921. They had one child together named George. Her husband Stephen died on November 29, 1938 due to cancer of the stomach.

Sometime after her husbands death, she moved out to British Columbia. Where she was taken care of by her son George and his wife Margaret. Ella passed away on August 31st, 1959 at the age of 78. After battling with generalized arteriosclerosis.
