John H. Gabel
John H. Gabel, 68, of 423 Franklin St., West Reading, died yesterday in the Reading Hospital. He was the son of the late Ambrose and Rosa (Good) Gabel and for many years was employed by Luden's Inc. Gabel was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading; Isaac Hiester Lodge 660, F. and A. M.; Reading Consistory, Scottish Rite Masons, Camp 163, P. O. S. of A., Reading, and the West Reading Democratic Club.
Surviving are his widow, Olivia (Deysher) Gabel,; a son, Luther, West Reading; three daughters: Miriam, wife of William White, Reading; Dorothy, wife of Winfield Hain, and Grace, wife of Dr. John Hunter, both of Shillington; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and four sisters: Emma, wife of George Derr, Mt. Penn; Mrs. Bessie Etchberger; Clara, wife of William Knapp, and Ruth, wife of Paul Strause, all of Reading.
Services Saturday at 2 p .m. in the Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading, the Rev. Paul J. Kidd officiating. Burial in Laureldale Cemetery.
