Grace L. Lindley, 84, 845 S. Jefferson St., died at 5:53 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 7 1984) at Huntington Memorial Hospital.
A resident of Huntington most of her life, Mrs. Lindley was employed as a teacher in the Huntington County Community Schools, teaching at Bippus and Roanoke. She retired in 1966.
Mrs. Lindley was a member of the Central Christian Church, CWF of the church and the Huntington County Retired Teachers Association.
She was born Mary 13, 1900 in Huntington to Ira and Clara Redding Smith. Her first marriage was in 1925 in Huntington to Fred Beaty, who died in 1960, and her second marriage was in 1966 in Huntington to Paul Lindley, who died in 1979.
Survivors include a son, James R. Beaty, Markle; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Hower, Huntington; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A brother, Maurice L. Smith is deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deal and Robbins Funeral Home, where servcies will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, with Rev. A.W. Farnsworth officiating. Burial will be in Star of Hope Cemetery, and preferred memorials are to the Central Christian Church Memorial Fund or to the Central Christian Church Foundation, Inc.
