Mr. Motes died Saturday, January 24, 1998, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a Baptist. He was retired as a diesel mechanic with Tri-Mac Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Motes of Hartselle; five sons, Wesley Paul Motes of Decatur and Steve Motes, Edward Motes, Edwin Motes and James Allen Motes, all of Somerville; one brother, James Crow of Somerville; three sisters, Bunzie Blankenship and Nan Beavers, both of Hartselle and Linda Montgomery of Decatur; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Ferris White, Carl Moore, Luther Ferguson, Curtiss Bramlett, Billy Dentson and Jon Motes.
