Jeanette Kaye Loutzenheiser went to be with Jesus on Sunday, May 22, 2016 peacefully at home, after a three year gallant battle with cancer.
Kaye was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 4, 1946 with her twin brother Steve. She moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1959 with her family. After graduating from Tucson High School in 1964, she attended Arizona State Teacher's College in Flagstaff, which then became Northern Arizona University. In 1968 she graduated from NAU with a bachelor's in science degree in elementary education.
She married Gary Loutzenheiser August 24th of that same year and moved to Escondido, California while he finished his commitment to the US Navy. She taught for two years in Escondido, before they moved back to Arizona. The couple lived in Tucson, Wickenburg and Apache Junction. She retired from teaching in 1999 from the Apache Junction Unified School District, and then went on to work with DES, and finally taught art at Gilbert Christian School.
She leaves behind her husband of 47 years Gary L Loutzenheiser, brothers Steve and Michael, sisters Elizabeth and Marilyn, three sons: Mathew (Jennifer) of LaGrange, GA, David (Sara) of Chandler, AZ, and Andrew (Laura) of Tucson, AZ, and eight beautiful grandchildren, Michael, Kimberly of LaGrange, Thomas, Abby and Ethan of Chandler, and Samuel, Joy and Vivian of Tucson.
A celebration of her life will be held at Gold Canyon Community Church in Gold Canyon, AZ on Saturday, June 11th at 10am.
