Ethel A. Baker of Willows died Jan. 14, 2000, at SunBridge Care Center in Willows. She was 95 years old.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Elk Creek Community Church. Burial will follow at the Chrome Cemetery.
She was born July 1, 1904 in Chrome to parents Lester and Hattie Cushman. She was a descendant of the colonists who arrived on the Mayflower.
She worked as a seamstress for 15 years at Daughtrey's Department Store in Willows.
She was a member of Willows Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, writing and painting.
Survivors include son Gerald Burrows of Garberville; daughters Lois Silver of Willows, Joyce Smith of Garberville and Hollis Spurlock of Greenville; brother Howard Cushman of Vallejo; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two husbands: Otto Burrows in 1950 and Fred Baker in 1962.
