Kling was the pilot of the plane that crashed, killing golfer Payne Stewart.
The others who perished in the crash were golf course designer Bruce Borland, 40, two of Stewart's agents - Van Ardan, 45, & Robert Fraley, 46 - the president and CEO of Leader Enterprises - and co-pilot Stephanie Bellegarrigue, 27.
Kling, a former Air-Force pilot, had logged thousands of hours in the air throughout his years of flying.
He had an airline transport pilot certificate for a Boeing 707, Boeing 720, and Learjet 35. He also had experience flying the KC-135 and E-3 Sentry.
