HORACE MALONE "MUTT" COCKRELL is the son of Clyde Coleman Cockrell and Mrs. Daisy Carolyn Malone Cockrell.

His siblings are Emory Charles, Mary Frances and Peggy.

He is husband of Miss Ella Elizabeth Allen whom he married on June 7, 1953. As husband & wife, they made a home for their family in Marshall, Texas.

He was a graduate of Oak Cliff High School, and he attended college at the University of Texas at Arlington.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II from 1942 until 1944.

He resided in Marshall, Texas since 1980 moving from Dallas, Texas.

He was a food broker at Central Marketing Inc. in Dallas, Texas and was previously employed at W.T. Allen Sales Company in Dallas, Texas.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall, Texas and a former member of Highland Park Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.

After an extended illness, he passed away while he was a patient at Marshall Memorial Hospital in Harrison County, Texas.

HORACE MALONE "MUTT" COCKRELL was laid to rest on January 6, 1989 on the grounds of Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

He was survived by his wife; several nieces & nephews; and one sister-in-law.
