Nelda Joyce Boone, 82, of Mineral Wells, passed away May 26, 2017, in Mineral Wells. Service was June 1 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at the Spur Cemetery in Spur, Texas. She was born July 6, 1934, in Spur, the daughter of Clyde and Lena Garland Horn. Nelda lived in Spur until she moved to Mineral Wells in 1958. She married Chad Boone in 1962 and was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. She moved to Spur in 1991 and back to Mineral Wells in 2007. She was a secretary for a Mineral Wells insurance agency for many years, and in 1963 became a stay-at-home mom. Survivors include her sons, Bradley Boone, of Mineral Wells, and Keith Boone and wife, Kathy, of Pampa; brother, Jim Bob Horn and wife Barbara, of Spur; grandson, Seth Boone of Pampa; granddaughter, Kali James of Amarillo; several nieces, nephews and cousins; god-daughter, Tiffany Lyons of Littlefield; and her best friend, Jean Bolf of Fort Worth.
