"Mrs. Mary C. Gordon, 77, Sprakers RD 1, died of injuries when struck by an automobile near home in Charleston Four Corners at 8:55 p.m. Saturday. She was born April 8, 1903, in Central Bridge, the daughter of Joseph and Stella Peru Gordon. Mrs. Gordon was a member of the Christian Church of Charleston Four Corners. Her husband, Channing Gordon, died in July 1973. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nellie) Croote, Roanoke, Va., and Mrs. Jack (Evelyn) Summerfield, Sprakers RD 1; two sons, Carl and Channing Gordon, Jr., both of Sprakers, RD 1; a sister, Mrs. Lena Siets, Little Falls; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. at the Houghtaling Funeral Home, Canajoharie, with the Rev. Phillip Sears of the Charleston Four Corners Christian Church officiating.
