James H. Stevens, 57, of 11 South Second, Highland Park, a native and former resident of Trenton, was pronounced dead on arrival at Middlesex General Hospital, New Brunswick, after being stricken Saturday. Mr. Stevens, a veteran of World War !!, was employed by Industrial Security Service as a guard at Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick. He was a member of the New Jersey Civil Defense Corps. He was the son of the late John E. and Sarah Ann Miller Stevens.

Surviving are his wife, Betea Coombs Stevens, a daughter,Mrs. Arthur Kice, of Yardley, Pa; three brothers, John and Harry Stevens, both of Trenton, and William of Pennington., and a sister Mrs. Mabel Brook of Trenton. The funeral will be at the Quackenboss Funeral home, 156 Livingston avenue, New Brunswick. The Rev. Irving Decker, pastor of the Highland Reformed Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Calling hours will be Tuesday 7 to 9 pm.
