George M. Lindsey of Waco, a dairy farmer, died Monday at his home. He was 85.
Services will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday at Western Heights Baptist Church the Rev. Charles Dixon and Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park.
Mr. Lindsey was born July 18, 1908 in Crawford. He attended school in China Spring and the Erath area. He married Reba Pack June 27 1931. She died September 1, 1988. Mr. Lindsey was a dairy farmer in the Waco area for many years. He also worked for Mid-Tex Milk Producers Co-Op and American Red Cross Blood Center. He was a treasurer for Harrison Senior Citizens Center for several years. Mr. Linsey was chairman of the board of Deacons of First Baptist Church in China Spring for many years. He was a member and a deacon of Western Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters Jim (Martha) Holton of China Spring and Mrs. Bill (Dorothy) Scott of Woodway; a son Charles Lindsey of China Spring; a sister Veta Lindsey of Speegleville; three brothers Cutis Lindsey of Speegleville, Ted Lindsey of Gholson and Truitt Lindsey of Woodway; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
The family will recieve visitors 6-8 today at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Western Heoghts Baptist Church.
