American Architect. Marston, known as "Pasadena's Quintessential Architect", was instrumental in establishing Pasadena as a winter resort and then as a thriving community. He and his firm designed 1000 projects, many of which still survive, including cottages and additions to resort hotels, notable commercial and civic buildings such as the Pacific Asia Museum, the Fenyes Estate, Viila Verde, Vista del Arroyo Hotel and Bungalows, Los Angeles County Library - Wilmington Branch and Arden Villa, which was featured prominently during the 1980s television series, 'Dynasty'. His residential designs span the range of styles from the Arts and Crafts through English Tudor and Monterey Colonial to, most importantly, Mediterranean Revival. This is an important addition to the literature of California's Golden Age of architecture. Marston and Van Pelt received Southern California Chapter AIA Awards for the Arcade Building, Pasadena, CA, and the Garford House, Pasadena, CA, 04/1920;
