Military Service: U.S. Marines, 1941-1945, where he fought in WWII. U.S. Army, 1955-1980, where he fought in the Korean and Viet Nam (3 tours) Wars.

He was a prisoner of war in Korea, and escaped.

He retired from the army as a Sergeant First Class.
He received numerous medals for his service, and was a true patriot to our country.

After the Military: Served as Fire Chief for the Timberon, New Mexico, Fire Department from 1995-2000.
Lifelong Member of the VFW in El Paso, Texas, Timberon, New Mexico, and Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Services at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Alamogordo, with Pastor Kristi Koppel officiating.

Burial in Monte Vista Cemetery, with Military services, in Alamogordo.
