David Johnson, 79, recently lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2017. He graduated from Carlton High School and served in the National Guards of Minnesota before moving to Yuma, AZ. He worked in refrigeration and was the owner of Johnson Commercial Refrigeration.

Dave lived in Yuma for 60 years. He is survived by his wife, Avis, of 60 years and their children, Debbie (Bill) Udart of Las Vegas, NV, Janine (Daniel) Gurrola of Yuma, Cheryl (Steve) Inglis of Richmond, KY, Scott (Rhonda) Johnson of Prescott, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Josepha Johnson, brothers Richard and Johnny Johnson, and sister Donna Matten.

He was cremated and his wishes were for no services. The family will have a celebration of life on his 80th birthday.
