McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Josephine G. Scott, age 87, was born March 29, 1930 and died April 20, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.
Retired from McMinnville Garment Company and Century Electric, and a member of The Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Mack and Hallie Davis George.
She was married to Thomas Franklin Scott who preceded her in death on June 15, 1991.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Edward Scott and Willard Scott; grandson, Jason Scott; and brothers and sisters, Cleo George, Ed Williams George, Powell George, Jack George, Jeff George, Ruby Dodd, Jay George, L.B. George, Elva Jean Murphy and Franklin George.
She is survived by two children, Wilma Gibbs of McMinnville and Beverly JoAnn Dixon and husband Thomas of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Michelle Andres, Allen Gibbs, Denali Hale, David Scott and Jerry Dixon; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in High's Chapel with Brandon Hale and Danny Hale officiating.
Burial in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
