Wife of (John?) Alpheus Culter, he being the founder of the Church of Jesus Christ, a break-away religious faction of the early Mormon Church. She died at the home of her son-in-law, Almon Sherman, which was said to have been at Oak Lake, near Bemidji, Minnesota. "Mother Cutler," as she was affectionately known to people of her husband's church, was faithful and true to her only husband, as he was to his only wife. She and Alpheus brought eleven children into the world, only three of which lived to a relatively old age:

Thaddeus Cutler (1809-1896)
Lois Huntington Cutler Sherman (1811-1880)
Libbeus Cutler (1814-1819)
Louisa Elizabeth Cutler Rappleye (1816-1854)
Sally Maria Cutler Anderson (1818-1890)
William Lathrop Cutler (1821-1851)
Benjamin Franklin Cutler (1823-1866)
Clarissa Cutler Fletcher (1824-1852)
Emily Trask Cutler Pratt (1827-1852)
Edwin H. Cutler (1829-1837)
