"The Opelika-Auburn News" - December 5, 2015:

The General John Baytop Scott Chapter of the U.S. Daughters of 1812, will mark the graves of Gen. Allen Daniel, Elisha Ware and Phillip Ware on Sunday, December 6, at 2:30 p.m. near Danielsville, GA. The ceremony to dedicate all three markers will be held at the grave of Daniel. Refreshments will follow.
"The family connection is that Gen. Daniel's son-in-law was Elisha Ware. Elisha's brother Phillip, lived in Alabama but died while on a visit home with his family in Madison County, GA," according to a press release from the Daughters of 1812 chapter.
"Phillip Ware's wife, Mary Pauline Strickland Ware, and her children remained in the LaFayette, Alabama area to be near her family. Their children were: Samuel, Matilda, Rachel, Jane, Cinthia, and Johnathan," the release said. "Today the descendants of Phillip Ware are scattered. However, a number of them are still in the area surrounding Auburn."
The public is invited to the ceremony. Danielsville is 15 miles northeast of Athens, GA. The cemetery is at 4586 Georgia Highway 51.
