Lois M. Loeffler, 80, of Arma, Kansas overcame her battle with Alzheimer's Disease Monday, March 20, 2017 at Senior Care Vineyard House in Overland Park, Kansas.
Mrs. Loeffler was born November 29, 1936 at Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Byron Eugene and Lola Mae Fenstermacher Thompson.
Lois was a homemaker who had also worked for Cadillac in Detroit, the Arma Locker, and teachers aid for Northeast USD 246 grade school until her retirement.
She was raised in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Chadsey High School in Detroit in 1954.
She married Harold Boyajian on September 15, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Boyajian preceded her in death July 1970.
She later married James Loeffler in 1972 in Detroit. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a member of the Arma United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Sam Boyajian and his wife Stacy of Gardner, Kansas, two daughters, Dr. Lori Boyajian-O'Neill and her husband Scott of Overland Park, Kansas and Gayle Stephan and her husband Tom of Lenexa, Kansas, and six grandchildren, Samantha and Aram Boyajian, Kyle and Kara Stephan, and Owen and Helen O'Neill.
Lois loved little kids and young people. That is what kept her young and active for years. Any friends of her own children were immediately "adopted" as one of her own. She will be missed by all of "her" kids.
Even though she was always a Michigander at heart, she loved Arma and its people, and refused to move until forced to because of health reasons.
The family would like to thank Senior Care Homes and KC Hospice for the first class care she received in recent years.
Mrs. Loeffler has been cremated according to her wishes.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with the Rev. Glenn Duderstadt officiating.
The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Bedene Chapel prior to the services.
Burial of the cremains will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Arma Elementary School in support of her beloved students and teachers.
Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
