Christopher Humburg, Sr.

Christopher C. Humburg, Sr., 68, of 1916 I. Street, died at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Memorial Hospital. He had been ill several months.

He was born in St. Louis, Mo., Aug. 1, 1905, son of Henry and Elizabeth Vogelsang Humburg. On July 2, 1938, he married Vera Hartman at Warrenton, Mo., and she survives.

Also surviving are one son, Christopher Charles Humburg II, Scott City, Mo.; two grandchildren; one brother, Walter of St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. Eugene (Florence) Patchin, Herman, Mo.; one aunt, Verna Vogelsang, Herman, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother, William, preceded him in death.

A retired advertising executive, he was proprietor of Christy Advertising Agency at St. Louis; attended Washington University; a member of Toastmaster and Optimist Clubs; and a Boy Scout leader at Webster Grove, Mo.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Rev. Ed Kolbe officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
