Andrew W. (Washington?) Clodfelter was the eldest of seven known children of Philip Clodfelter (1818-1899) and Amelia Embler Clodfelter (1817-1903), who married c1838 at presumably Davidson County, North Carolina.

Andrew married Fatima Jenny (went by Timey) Beck (1851-1922) on 31 Mar 1870 at Davidson County, North Carolina. Timey was the daughter of Ambrose Beck. Andrew and Fatima were the parents of five known children, namely:

1. Lunda Jane Clodfelter Black (1871-1953)
2. Mary Lenora Clodfelter Bryant (1874-1962)
3. James William Clodfelter (1876-1953)
4. Peter Amberus (or Philip Ambrose?) Clodfelter (1878-1973)
5. John Andrew Clodfelter (1880-1954)

In 1900 Timey said she was the mother of five, all living.
