Army 1st Lt. Jacob N. Fritz, 25, of Verdon, Neb.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska; died Jan. 20 in Karbala, Iraq, from wounds sustained when his patrol was ambushed while conducting dismounted operations. Also killed were Spc. Johnathan B. Chism, Pfc. Shawn P. Falter and Pvt. Johnathon M. Millican. He was killed in action during an insurgent ambush in Karbala, Iraq at age 25. Four other's died in the same attack. They are, Sgt Jonathan Chism , Pfc. Shawn Falter , Pfc. Johnathon Millican and Capt. Brian Freeman
