Services were on Monday, August 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Apostolic Faith Temple in Columbus, OH, with Bishop Dr. Nathaniel Jordan, pastor, officiating. Internment was in Eastlawn Cemetery there with J. Martin Smith Mortuary handling the arrangements.
Born September 2, 1990, to Calvin Upchurch and Caroline Polk-Palmer, he was a great fisherman who loved baseball and football. He was also an avid card player. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Sebron and Lucille Upchurch, Arthur and Volina Foster and a dearly missed sister, DaAunta "DaDa" Upchurch.
He leaves to cherish his memories his grandparents, Eddie and Rudell Upchurch and Percy (Babiya) Polk and Nicey Hentz-Polk; his parents, Calvin (Shalonda) Upchurch, all of Columbus, and Caroline (Delbert) Polk-Palmer of Marks; two children, Nasir (age 3) and Calvin Upchurch III (age 1); brothers, Matthew Hunter, Kevin Polk, Shaquille Upchurch, Quintell Polk, and Keyshawn Polk; sisters, Tierra Wright (Polk), Akeya Wright (Polk), Tia Hunter, Carolynn-Nicey Polk, and Taliyah Palmer, all of Columbus; and also many aunts, uncles, cousins, including a special friend, Ashley Green of Columbus.
