Bonnie Lease, 87, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Sunday, February 12th, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City surrounded by her family. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 16th, 2017 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the St. Mark Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church with a Vigil and Rosary Service at 7 p.m. The Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Bonnie June Wise was born on June 8, 1929 in Wesley, Iowa, the daughter of Strother and Sarah (Hill) Wise. She graduated from high school in Carpenter, Iowa. On June 21, 1948 Bonnie was united in marriage to Ralph Lease in Mason City, Iowa. She spent her days raising eleven children. She was actively involved in school activities, very active in the St. Mark Parrish, and was a member of Pioneers, the Legion Auxiliary, and 60+.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Georgia Clark of Mason City, Cori (Dick) Little of West Burlington, Cathy Bunkofske (Bill) of Garner, Ralph Lease, Jr. (Keshia) of Dyersburg, TN, Mike Lease (Carla) of Thornton, Terri Church (Dave) of Chariton, Diane Lease of Mason City, Joe Lease (Becky) of Madrid, Tom Lease (Jo) of Iowa Falls, Angie Robinson (Jerry) of Randall, and Mary Griffin (Matt) of Waukee; 37 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sara Price of Ft. Meyers, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; in-laws, Ralph and Martha Lease (Peschl); two brothers; six sisters; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Lease; and three great-grandchildren.
