María del Refugio de la Luz Domínguez y López was born at Los Angeles June 30, 1848, and baptized at the Los Angeles Plaza Church August 15, 1848 (LA Baptism 01923). She was the daughter of Apolonio Domínguez y Villa (BP Baptism 00485) and María de la Merced López y Romero (SG Baptism 06218). She married (1) Ángel María Reyes y Machado at Los Angeles Plaza Church April 25, 1864. After Ángel's death in July 1876, she married (2) John Robarts at Los Angeles on April 25, 1888. Refugio died at Los Angeles June 19, 1889, and was buried in (old) Calvary cemetery June 23, 1889.

Order to Show Cause Why Order of Sale of Real Estate Should not be Made.
In the Superior Court of the County of Los Angeles, State of California.
In the matter of the Estates and Guardianship of Francisco Leon Reyes, et als., minors.
lt appearing to this Court from the petition filed in this cause on the 19th day of September, 1884, and this day presented by Refugio Dominguez de Reyes, Guardian of the persons and estates of Francisco Leon Reyes, Maria Antonia Cristina Reyes, Juan [sic] Manuel Reyes, Juan Ranolfo Reyes, Maria Ysidra Reyes, Adela Reyes and Rosaura Reyes, minors, praying for an order of sale of certain real estate belonging to her said wards, that it is necessary and would be beneficial to said wards that such real estate should be sold.
It is hereby ordered that the next of kin of said wards, and all persons interested in the said estates and guardianship, appear before this Court on
Monday the 10th day of November, 1884,
At 10 o'clock a. m., at the Courtroom of this Court In the City and County of Los Angeles, then and there to show cause why an order should not be granted for the sale of said real estate.
And it is further ordered that a copy of this order be published at least once a week for at least three successive weeks before said 10th day of November, 1884, In the Los Angeles Daily Herald, a newspaper printed and published in said County of Los Angeles.

DIED.
ROBARTS -- In this city, June 19, 1889, at 8 o'clock p.m., Mrs. Refugio Dominguez de Robarts, wife of John Robarts.
Mrs. Robarts was a granddaughter of Demesio Dominguez, one of the original settlers of Southern California. The first husband of Mrs. Robarts was Don Angel Reyes, a member of the large, respected and influential family of that name in this city; she leaves a large family to bewail her irreparable loss.
The funeral will take place on Saturday, the 22d inst., the funeral cortege leaving her late residence, 1550 South Main street, at 9:30 a.m. for the Cathedral of Santa Vibiana, where a Requiem Mass will be sung for the repose of her soul.
Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited.

In the matter of the estate of Refugio Dominguez de Robarts, deceased.—Notice for Publication of Time for Proving Will, etc.
Notice is hereby given that Thursday, the 11th day of July, 1889, at 10 o'clock a. m. of said day, at the courtroom of this Court, Department Two thereof, corner Franklin and New High streets, ia the City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, has been appointed as the time and place for hearing the application of Francisco Leon Reyes praying that a document now on file in this Court, purporting to be the last will and testament of the said deceased, be admitted to probate, that letters of administration with the will annexed, be issued thereon to said Francisco Leon Reyes, at which time and place all persons interested therein may appear and contest the same.
