Funeral services for Charles Avent Williamson, age 88, of Scobey, are at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Rosebloom Nazarene Church. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Moorman, Paul Moorman, Jason Moorman, Rick Williamson, Bart Williamson, and Eric Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Dungan, W.T. Moorman, W.C. Willis, Coleman Ingram, Brady Taylor, Tommy Williamson, Uncle Joe Moorman, and Doug Ingram.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rosebloom Nazarene Church.

Charles died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Charles was born in Grenada, Mississippi on June 1, 1928. He was the last living son of the late Charlie Spencer Williamson and Myrtle Strider Williamson.

Charles was a retired farmer and carpenter. He loved the outdoors. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and John Deere tractors. He was a member of the Rosebloom Nazarene Church.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wilma Imogene Moorman Williamson of Scobey; one daughter, Becky Alexander and her husband, Glen, of Gore Springs; two sons, Stanley Williamson and his wife, Kathy, and Ricky Williamson and his wife, Mari Jo, all of Scobey; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens‘ Hospital in lieu of flowers.
