Betty was born December 8, 1931 in Frankford, MO, the daughter of Silas Ezra and Bessie Burl Strain Jennings. She married Robert Marshall Kirk March 10, 1950, he preceded her in death December 8, 2003.
Survivors include sons Robert Kirk and Harold Kirk of Frankford; daughters Phyllis Roe of Mamoth Springs, AR, Beverly Reynolds of Bowling Green, Wanda Neitzelt of Punta Cabras Baja, Mexico, Carol House of Louisiana; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-laws Arlene Jennings of Fort Summit and Mary Lou Jennings of Center; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Mary Ann Martin who passed away in 2008; syblings Thurman Jennings, Iceleene Lynn, Gladys Lynn, Vernon Jennings who was KIA in Germany during WWII, Walter Jennings, Helen Pew, Delcie VonVain and Martha Jennings who died in infancy.
Betty grew up around McCune Station and attended Peno School. She enjoyed square dancing, sewing, traveling and gardening. She occasionally attended the Cowboy Church in Bowling Green. She was an amazing cook and especially enjoyed cooking holiday means for her family. Betty enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Swindell, Jason Garrison, Scott Buchanan, Brad Stark, Jarod Peak and Devin Kirk.
