Glenn H. Alsip, age 90, departed this life Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

He was born on December 8, 1926 at Mountainburg, Arkansas to Luther Martin and Lillie May (Creekmore) Alsip.

He was a Navy Corpsman in World War II.

He worked for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years. During that time, he served eleven years as the State Steward of the Arkansas Rural Letter Carriers Association.

Over the years, he has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Bentonville, Bethel Baptist in Bentonville, and the First Baptist Church of Centerton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Louise (Rothrock) Alsip; his sister, Novelene Tucker; and his second wife, Anna (Flatt) Collins Alsip.

He is survived by one son, Larry Alsip of Bentonville; three grandchildren, Chris Alsip of Rogers, Josh Alsip of Springfield, Missouri and Amanda Smith (and her husband, Blair) of Springdale; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Keith Martin Alsip of Bryant, Arkansas.

Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2017 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2016 in Coffelt Cemetery near Vaughn, with Brother Bob Metcalf officiating.
