Obituary: Mrs. Elenore L. Wiseman, age 89, of 319 Serpell Avenue, Belington, WV (formerly of Baver Street, Clarksburg, WV) passed away at 10:42 P.M. on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Talbott’s Personal Care Home in Belington, WV following an extended illness. She was born July 10, 1918 on Smith’s Run in Lewis County near Weston, WV a daughter of the late John I. Allman and Reta B. Law Allman. Her husband, Edmond Lee Wiseman, whom she married August 21, 1948, preceded her in death June 30, 2003. Surviving are, two brothers & sisters-in-law, Maurice L. & Bertha L. Allman, Philippi, WV and Ronald F. & Betty Allman, Massillon, OH, two sisters & a brother-in-law, Mrs. Barbara Condo, Warren, OH & Rebecca A. & Glenn E. Gamble, Amherst, NY and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. Mrs. Wiseman was also preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Cummings. Elenore was a graduate of Jane Lew High School - Class of 1937. She was active in the WV state 4-H program during her youth. She received an award to attend the West Virginia State Fair in Lewisburg, WV, where she received a blue ribbon for her entry in the lamb & sheep classification, of which she was very proud. After her graduation from high school she attended the Clarksburg Beauty Academy. She had been employed as a beautician at McCoy’s & the Arcade Beauty Shops during her working years. Elenore was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarksburg, WV, where she was a willing and active volunteer as she was also for the Meals on Wheels Program. She was a life member of the Hacker’s Creek Pioneer descendants. Friends may call at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Dr. Gary N. Shepard and the Rev. Alicia Rapking presiding. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
