Walter C. Allen's Rites Wednesday.

"Walter C. Allen, 56, 115 Woodland Road, died this morning at Cushing Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient the past week.

Born Dec. 22, 1906 in Kansas he was a son of Bert and Lettie Allen. Coming to Leavenworth from Atchison County, he had lived in Leavenworth for more than 20 years.

He had been employed as a production planner at Gould National Batteries Inc.

On Dec. 30, 1944 at Lansing, he was married to Miss Ida Faye Sill.

Mr. Allen is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida Faye Allen, and his mother, Mrs. Lettie Allen, both of the home.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Larkin funeral home. Rev. Charles Schneeberger, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Muncie Cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today."
