[Sarah R. Cloud] died, at the family residence, five miles northwest of Conway [Iowa], on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1892, aged 54 years, 6 months and 5 days. The deceased was born in Brown County, Ohio, July 8th, 1837. She was married to Alvan Cloud in 1855. They moved to Taylor County in 1875, and located on a farm five miles northwest of town. On Wednesday, the good Christian mother fell asleep. She left the evidence that she had gone to that beautiful home beyond, where sorrow and death are unknown. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Baptist church for 33 years. The funeral took place at the Christian church, conducted by Rev. R.M. Simmons, of Hopkins, Mo. The remains were laid away to rest in the Conway cemetery. The bereaved father and relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.

I believe her adopted daughter, Emma May Cloud Fithen (1861-1898) is buried at her side with no marker, with Emma's children Eula V. and Guy F. Fithen on the other side.
