Emma G. Gish was born September 1, 1859 at Roanoke, Illinois to George W. and Saran Gish. She was married to Charles L. Moore June 30, 1877 and six children were born to them. She came with her family to Kalispell in 1915 and made her home here until her husband passed away in 1954. She had since lived with or near her children and since 1944 has been at Bend, Oregon.
She was a member of the Brethren Church and had been active in the work of the church for many years.
Mrs. Moore passed away at Bend, Oregon, September 16, 1947 at the age of 88 years.
She is survived by five children, Mrs. Andrew Foley of Bend, Mrs. D. W. (Maud) Hoover of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tennison Otis Moore of Tracey, California, 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. One son R.J. Moore of Kalispell preceded her in death.
