GREENVILLE, VA…

Iva Lotts Doyle Myrtle, 94, widow of Marvin Myrtle of Spottswood Road, Greenville, died peacefully in her sleep on December 6, 2016 at Augusta Health Care.

She was born August 19, 1922 in Augusta County.

Before retiring as a house wife, she was employed by food service for Riverheads High School and Marriot in Maryland.

She was an avid baseball fan and loved baking for her grandsons. She enjoyed every moment spent with her family and talking with her neighbors. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly and will forever be missed.

In addition to her second husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Harry Doyle, Jr. and son, Larry Doyle.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by a son, Steve Doyle and wife Gwen of Raphine; two grandsons, Brian Doyle and wife Melissa of Raphine and Adam Doyle and wife Laura of Jollivue; great grandchildren, Ella, Tucker, Ivy Jane, and Tristan; granddaughter, Dana Shank of Churchville; great grandchildren, Sierra Shank and Casey Lawrence; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 in Pines Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. John Marsh and Wendy Simpson for all of the loving care given to Iva.
