Inez C. Wright, 98, passed away quietly Nov. 29.
Inez was a feisty woman in high heels, famous for her homemade pies. She enjoyed handwork, camping, Betty Boop and following her son’s school sports. She was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Inez was a favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews and enjoyed time with family. She had a zest for life and was beloved by many.
Inez was born to Niels and Mary Ann Christensen on July 14, 1918, in Evanston. She attended public schools in Evanston and Wamsutter. She married John R. Wright on April 27, 1937. The couple had a son, Robert D. “Bob” Wright. They lived for many years in Evanston, where John worked for the railroad, moving to North Ogden, Utah, in 1971.
Inez is survived by her son, Robert (Dorothy) Wright of Kemmerer; grandson John D. (Ronda) Wright of Brigham City, Utah; great-grand-daughters, Sascha (Ryan) Wilks of Perry, Utah, and Teresa Grim of Pearland, Texas; and great-great-grandchildren, Lexi and Ryker Wilks. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Nola Ward, Evelyn Willoughby, Eva Shepherd, Alton Christensen, James Christensen, Neil Christensen and Warren Christensen; husband, John R. Wright; and grandson, James A. Wright.
A celebration of Inez’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at her grandson John’s home in Brigham City, Utah. Services are entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lindquistmortuary.com.
