Our beloved mother and grandmother, Armida V. (Brownie) Kikel, 69, succumbed to heart failure November 25, 1992 in Bountiful, Utah, after a long and courageous struggle.
She was born April 8, 1923, to Joseph Francis and Harriet Ann Richins McCarrel in Rainbow, Utah. Married Robert Lobach in 1941; later divorced. Married Ludvick Kikel May 9, 1945 in Paonia, Colorado; he preceded her in death January 2, 1981. She was manager of Cornet Variety Store in Midvale for 15 years. Member LDS Church. She was especially gifted in crochet handicraft, sharing such with family and friends. She provided many new babies in Bountiful Kimball Mill Ward their very first booties.
Survived by son, Kenneth F. Lobach, West Valley City; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia A. and Terry D. Morrison, West Valley City; Sharyl A. and Byron J. Johnson, Bountiful; six grandsons; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; sister, Hazel L. Morse, Salt Lake City; and dearest friend and niece, Betty Jean Peters; among the other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two sisters, Eva L. Newton and Betha H. Allen.
Graveside services Saturday, November 28, 12 Noon, Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Saturday 10-11:30 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale.
