Charles Fetko, 96, formerly of Kingston, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Wesley Village, Pittston.

He was born in Spangler, son of the late Charles and Pearl Doban Fetko.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, retired from Parodi Cigar as a master mechanic, and then worked for many years for the Luzerne County Transit Authority. Mr. Fetko was a member of the Larksville American Legion, and the Catholic War Veterans, Edwardsville. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dolores Gilefski; brothers, Pete, John, George, Al and Paul; and sister, Ann.

Charles is survived by his sons, C. Glenn Fetko and his wife, Christine, Stafford, VA; and Daniel K. Fetko and his wife, Jane, Dallas; grandchildren, Jane Alfaro and her husband, Angelo; Keith Fetko and his wife, Rhiannon; Amory Medico and her husband, Charles; Daniel C. Fetko and his wife, Ashley; great grandchildren, Angelo, Kayla, Rylie, Sophia, Charlie, Noah and Alexa; brothers, Stephen Fetko, Charlotte Hall, MD; and Metro Fetko, Larksville.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
