Visitation begins today, January 4th, from 8-5 p.m. and a memorial service will be held Friday, January 5th, 10:00 a.m., at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave., Bakersfield, CA (cross Street "S" Street.) Interment will follow at East Kern Cemetery in Mojave, CA. Elinor V. Osborne Chadwick, longtime resident of Boron, CA where she raised her five children: Linda M. Osborne-Barroso of Lincoln, CA, H. James Osborn Jr. of Boron, CA, Mary Ann Osborne-Crain of Boron, CA, Katherine S. Osborne-Chadwick of Bakersfield, CA, and Buckley S. Osborne of Moss Point, MS with her deceased husband, Jim Osborne Sr. Elinor moved to Bakersfield in 1997 where she met and married her best friend and husband, Ben J. Chadwick, February 14, 2000. Elinor is survived by her brother, Kenneth Kent of Sacramento, CA and is preceded in death by sisters, Leota Kent Ellis and Pearl Kent Platt. Elinor was a long term member of Boron Baptist Church and after moving to Bakersfield, became a member of Valley Baptist Church. She was blessed with such a wonderful big family: 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 33 great- grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren and growing. Elinor brought her children and their children like herself to believe; "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son for whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
