John was the son of Thomas Spilman (1690-1740) #250541751 and Eleanor (Furley) Spilman. He held the post of bailiff of Walcot, Lincolnsire. The stone was removed along with many other old ones. Both he and his wife's stones were moved to the back of the church for preservation.

Inscription says:
Here lies deposited ye remains of Catherine the wife of John Spillman who died January 2nd, 1815 Aged 66 Years. Afflicted sore long time I bore Physicians were in vain! Till God did please to give me ease and free me from my pain.
Also of John Spillman her Husband who departed this life the 10th day of April 1816 Aged 75 years. Blefsed are the dead which die in the Lord.
