Caroline Jean Spalding, 68, Louisville, formerly of Lebanon, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 after a long illness.
She was born in Marion County on March 3, 1944.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Herman and Marcella Garrett Childers; a son, Michael Scott Spalding; two brothers, Harold and Charlie Childers, and three half brothers, Lloyd, Bill, and Elmer Hill.
Survivors include: a daughter, Tammy Spalding Bradshaw of Louisville; former husband, Terry Spalding of Lebanon; four sisters, Edith Wright of Lebanon, Susan Followay of Raywick, Cecelia Devine of Shepherdsville, and Mary Burgin of Louisville; two brothers, Jerry Childers of Cox's Creek and Eddie Childers of Carrolton; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 at Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in St. Augustine Church Cemetery. Deacon Joe Dant officiated.
Pallbearers were Danny, Gary, Carl Lee, Jody, Timmy Dean, and Steve Childers.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
