Minnie Mae McCall, 97, of Sligo RR1, died at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2002, in Clairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she was admitted earlier that day.
Born September 6, 1904, in Sligo, she was a daughter of Charles F. and Minnie Mae (Anderson) Craig.
Mrs. McCall was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She married W. Ross McCall on March 13, 1924. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1966.
Mrs. McCall was a member of the Sligo Presbyterian Church.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Esther & Clyde Myers of Sligo, with whom she made her home for several years, and Ella and Eugene Henry of Sligo; three sons and their wives, Craig & Lois McCall of Hilton Head, S.C., Carl & Vivian McCall and Donald & Dorothy McCall, all of Sligo; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sylvia; a grandson, Douglas Conner; six sisters, Jesse Hoover; Martha Stewart, Mable Craig, Evabelle McClaine, Alma Heeter, and Nina Masters; and five brothers, Ira Craig, William Craig, Ed Craig, Herman Craig, and Hobart Craig.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2002, at the Sligo Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Doug Friant, former area Presbyterian minister, officiating.
Interment followed in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were at the direction of the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Sligo Presbyterian Church Building Fund, Sligo, PA 16255 or the Kidney Foundation.
