CLOVIS, N.M. - William D. Axe, 72, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. CST Thursday in Palo Duro Cemetery in Wildorado, Texas, with Steve Cox officiating. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home.

Mr. Axe was born May 20, 1934, to Bob and Zelma Sullinger Axe in Dimmitt. He served in the U.S. Army as an engineer, stationed in Japan.

Survivors include two sons, Michael David Axe of Alamogordo and Steven Axe of Farmington; and three grandchildren.
