Susan L. Johnston was the daughter of John C. Johnston & Sarah C. Coatney. She married John Joseph Walden on March 26, 1891 in Carroll Co., Arkansas.
Susan had a brother & sister as well as several half-siblings because her father and mother both had previously been married and widowed. Susan's father died when she was 7 and her mother remarried 2 more times for a total of 4 times. The last time was to John D. Walden, a relative of Susan's husband. Susan and her mother died within 2 years of each other and are both buried in the same Walden family cemetery.
