Annie Mae Polanco, age 82, lifelong resident of Las Cruces passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer. Annie was born December 20, 1933, to Vicente and Anita Sanchez Uranga. She was employed at Memorial Medical Center as a Nurse's Aide, and was a member of the Living Waters Assembly of God.

Those left to mourn her passing included her husband of sixty-two years, Gregorio "Greg" Polanco Jr.; three sons, David Polanco, Vincent Polanco (Teresa) and Ruben Polanco (Brandi) all of Las Cruces; three daughters, Vicki Estes (Jim) of Pipe Creek, TX, Rosanna Calderon (Rich) of Tucson, AZ and Laura Lujan (Gilbert) of Las Cruces; two half-brothers, Bobby and Andy Uranga; a very special friend, Terri Dixon also of Las Cruces. Other survivors include sixteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Annie was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services were held at Baca's Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Tucker officiating. Concluding Service and Interment followed in Masonic Cemetery, where she was laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers were Jonathan Hoffman, Justin Polanco, Phillip and Matt Lujan, Daniel and Nic Calderon. Honorary bearers will be Xavier Polanco and Rieco Medina.

Service arrangements were entrusted to the care of Baca's funeral Chapels of Las Cruces.
