Carma J. Olson, 84, of Hazelton, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006.

She was born March 19, 1922, at Star, Idaho, to A.W. Bell and Maude P. Cleek Bell. The family moved to the Big Lost River Valley, where Carma was raised. She married Raymond Olson on April 1, 1942.

Together, they spent most of their lives farming and ranching in the Jerome-Hazelton area, retiring at Hazelton in 1984.

Carma is the mother of three children, Calvin Olson of Hazelton, Ronda Olson of Pingree and Charles Olson of Hazelton. She was blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one sister, Clara Hail of Moore, Idaho; and was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1993; five brothers, Floyd, Jake, Fred, John and Willard; and one sister, Henrietta.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at the Trinity Lutheran Church south of Eden, with Pastor Don Adolf officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at the Hove-Robertson Funeral Chapel in Jerome.

May the love and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, comfort those who mourn her passing.

The family suggests memorial donations to the Lutheran Hour; these may be left with the funeral home staff.
