We know that William married Elizabeth Godfrey at St. Alban's church (also in Oxford) on January 7 1796. Unfortunately, we only have Elizabeth's name and no dates either of her birth or death.
The couple produced 4 children that we know of:
Will Collins 1795-
William Collins 1797-1875
Harriet Collins 1778-???? (mentioned in Will)
Charles Collins 1801-1899
William and Elizabeth operated a bakery located at 7 Magdalen Street directly across from the churchyard where William was laid to rest. His son, William Jr. inherited the bakery from his father and is listed in Gardner's 1852 directory. As of March 2016 a Sainsbury's Market stands where the old bakery once stood.
William's burial is recorded as Nov 4, 1818. The exact location of his grave at St. Mary Magdalen is currently unknown.
