Beulah Belle Kennedy Costanzo was the daughter of George C. and Georgia S. Kennedy, and younger sister of Grace H. Kennedy. She grew up on a farm in Elgin, Oregon and was among the graduates of Elgin High School (class of 1949). She married Merlin John Eugene Prout (his second wife); together they had one daughter, Gayla Marie Prout, and later divorced. In about 1953 Beulah and her daughter moved to Portland where Beulah worked for Jantzen Woolen Mills, for 23 years, retiring in 1976. When Gayla passed away in 1979, Beulah assumed the care for her young grandson; they moved back to the Elgin area in about 1985. Beulah is survived by her grandson, Christopher.
